Indian Lake boys boot Kenton in season opener

Indian Lake’s boys soccer team started the season off with a win after dropping host Kenton 4-2 on Saturday in a non-league contest.

“It is always nice to start the year with a win,” said Indian Lake boys head coach Jon Shoffstall. “Kenton played us really tough this year and it was good for our guys to grind this one out.

“They had their guys ready to go and exposed some areas that we need to shore up. We obviously still have a lot of room for improvement, however, our program has been waiting for the start of the regular season since last October. It’s exciting to get it started and started off right.”
