BROOKVILLE — Triad head softball coach Shari Dixon has said hitting will be the key to how far her squad can go in the postseason.
After the Cardinals pounded out 12 hits in an 11-1 five-inning victory over Ansonia in the Division IV district title game Saturday, Dixon was quick to praise the work of her hitters.
“I was very happy with the way we hit from top to bottom in our order,” said Dixon. “We had some girls at the bottom of the lineup come through, and that was good to see.”
