West Liberty-Salem’s baseball team wiped out Benjamin Logan for a doubleheader sweep Saturday.
The visiting Tigers won 17-5 in five innings in the opener and the WL-Salem shut out the home team 12-0 in five innings in game two.

The Tigers are now 15-5 on the season. Ben Logan falls to 10-8.
WL-Salem pounded out 13 hits in the opener.
For the Tigers, Trent Thomas was 2-3 with two RBI, Grant Burden was 3-4 with a double and three RBI, Kyle Crawford was 2-4, Spencer Whitcraft was 2-4 with a double and two RBI and David Branham had a double.
Brady Bechtel was 3-3 and Collen Pulfer was 2-3 with two doubles and three RBI to spark the Raiders. Tristin Harshfield was 2-3 and Austin Ahle was 2-4.
Cole Wilson went all five innings on the mound to earn the win for the Tigers.
In game two, Kyle Wilkins and Whitcraft combined for the shutout for WL-Salem. Wilkins allowed only one hit in four innings of work and Whitcraft threw a hitless inning of relief.
Jake Rutan belted a home run and collected three RBI to lead the Tigers at the plate in the second game. Grant Burden was 2-2 with a double and three RBI to aid the winning effort.
Zane Collins had a double for the Raiders’ lone hit.
Both teams are back in action today. The Tigers host Southeastern and Ben Logan plays at home against Northwestern.
