Benjamin Logan and visiting West Liberty-Salem saw the momentum swing back and forth Saturday as the two local teams split a softball doubleheader.
The Tigers rallied to win 2-1 in the first game and the Raiders rebounded to win 5-3 in the second game.
The Tigers even their record to 9-9 on the season, while the Raiders are now 11-8.
In the first game, Ben Logan led 1-0 after the second inning.
WL-Salem battled back in the fourth inning. The Tigers’ Courtney Milliron and Rachel Loffing reached base. Melany Ward followed by hitting an RBI single to score Milliron, while Loffing later scored to put the Tigers up 2-1. The lead would hold up the rest of the game.
Loffing earned the win with six strikeouts, while Ward led the offense with two RBI.
For BL, Taylor Quay went 2-2 with a triple and an RBI.
In the second game, Ben Logan got its offense going and tallied eight hits. Brooklyn Terrill went 2-3 with three RBI, Jess Dodson went 2-3 with an RBI, Courtney Stewart went 2-4 and Quay added an RBI.
Kate Campbell earned the win in the pitching circle with nine strikeouts in 62⁄3 innings of work, while Stewart came in to earn the save.
For the Tigers, Autumn Klinger had a double.

Chiefs sweep M’burg
Bellefontaine’s softball team grabbed two wins from host Mechanicsburg on Saturday in a doubleheader.
The Chieftains won 6-0 in the first game and took the second game 11-3.
The Chieftains improve their mark to 9-9, while the Indians fall to 8-10.
