Riverside’s boys and girls track and field teams competed in a quad meet at Urbana on Monday along with Bellefontaine and Springfield Catholic Central.
The Pirates finished fourth in both meets with the girls scoring 49 points and the boys tallying 26 points.
Highlighting the meet for Riverside was sophomore Ella Jackson, who broke the school record in the 3,200 with a second-place time of 12:47. She also took third in the 1,600.
Also for the Pirate girls, Kari Meade was second in the high jump and third in the 100 and the 200, Emily Teague was second in the 800, while Brooke Hickey was third in the 300 hurdles and the long jump.
Ryan Davidson led the Riverside boys by winning the 100 in 12.21.
Coming in second for the Pirates was the 100 relay with third-place finishes coming from Jon Norris in the 110 hurdles, Jesse Kean in the high jump, Chris Cox in the discus and the 1,600 relay. Sean Perkins added a fourth-place finish in the 400.
Riverside’s boys and girls are back in action Friday afternoon at the Graham Invitational.
