West Liberty-Salem’s boys and girls track and field teams gave a commanding performance over several of its league opponents Tuesday in an Ohio Heritage Conference quad meet.

The host Tigers won 12 of 17 events in the girls meet. They won with 111 points, Northeastern was second with 55 points, Cedarville took third with 44 points and Springfield Catholic Central came in fourth with 27 points.
WL-Salem boys won its meet with 94 points, the Indians were second with 77 points, the Jets were third with 51 points and SCC placed fourth with 31 points.
Chieftain girls win four-team meet
Bellefontaine’s girls track and field team continued to build momentum after winning a four-team meet Tuesday at Stebbins.
The Chieftains won the meet with 108 points, Lebanon was a distant second with 60 points, Kenton Ridge was third with 48 points, the host Indians were fourth with 35 points and Stebbins Gray was fifth with three points.
Stebbins held off Lebanon 75-60 to win the boys meet. Kenton Ridge took third after edging Bellefontaine 59-56 and Stebbins Gray was fifth with six points.
