Dew puts blanket on Kenton’s bats

Bellefontaine sophomore pitcher Sidney Dew fired a two-hit shutout Wednesday as the host Chiefs beat Kenton 4-0 in non-league action.

The Chiefs are now 2-1 on the season.

Dew recorded six strikeouts on the afternoon.

Bellefontaine’s offense collected six hits in support of Dew.

After a scoreless opening frame, the Chiefs got on the scoreboard with two runs in the second inning.

Bellefontaine padded its lead with two more runs in the sixth inning.

Catherine Faulder went 2-3 to spark the Chiefs at the plate.

Bellefontaine is back in action today at Graham.
