Four area boys land on CBC first team

Four area boys earned firstteam honors to highlight the recently released all-Central Buckeye Conference basketball team.









Bellefontaine’s Matt Gump received a first-team selection for the CBC Kenton Trail division, while Benjamin Logan’s Blaine Ricketts and Dalton Greene and Indian Lake’s Christian Grider earned firstteam spots on the CBC Mad River division squad.

Special mention honors went to the Chieftains’ Max Oyer for the Kenton Trail division and the Raiders’ Jordan Sosby and the Lakers’ Jalon Tuttle in the CBC Mad River division.

Earning the CBC sportsmanship award were Bellefontaine’s Tristin Tillman, Indian Lake’s Brennon Lump and Ben Logan’s Cole Saylor.

Springfield Shawnee’s Jaelin Williams earned player of the year honors in the Kenton Trail division, while Urbana’s Tristan Singer and Graham’s Grant Goddard were co-players of the year in the Mad River division.

Making up the rest of the Kenton Trail first-team squad were Springfield Shawnee’s Williams, Jaden Greenwood and Andrew Tincher, Tippecanoe’s Nick Fischer and Cameron Johnson, Tecumseh’s Dalton Davis and Gabe Winans-Berner, Kenton Ridge’s Nick Lacey and Stebbins’ Trent Lucas.

Rounding out the Mad River division first-team selections were Urbana’s Singer, Nathan Mays and Joe Wright, Graham’s Goddard and Devon Allen, Greenon’s Anthony Colletti and Northwestern’s Cody Lough.

The rest of the special mention list included Springfield Shawnee’s David Sawyer, Tippecanoe’s Micheal

Landwher, Tecumseh’s Josiah McFarland, Kenton Ridge’s Jordan Goodfellow, Stebbins’ Malik Thurman, Graham’s Floyd Lowry, Greenon’s Cody Carpenter, Urbana’s Dillon Knueven and Northwestern’s Justin Philpot.
