Ridgemont’s boys basketball team held on for a 46-45 win over Ada in a Division IV sectional tournament game Tuesday at Kenton High School.
The win improves the Gophers to 10-13 on the season. They play top-seeded Arlington at 6:15 p.m. Friday in Kenton.
Ridgemont held a 14-11 lead after the opening quarter. Ada battled back with a 13-8 run in the second quarter to go up 24-22 at halftime.
The Gophers regained the momentum in the third quarter by outscoring the Bulldogs 16-11. That put Ridgemont back in front 38-35.
Ridgemont then battled down the stretch to stay in front and came away with the one-point win.
Cody Seiler led Ridgemont with 16 points, Josh Corbin had 13 points and seven rebounds and Corey Eversole added 10 points.
