Indian Lake sends three into semifinal round

It was an impressive start to the Division II district tournament for Indian Lake’s wrestling team Friday at Goshen High School.

The Lakers advanced three wrestlers to the semifinals, have three other wrestlers still alive in the tournament and are currently tied for fifth place in the team standings with 36 points.

Heath Lange (138), Calvin Davis (145) and L.J. Henderson (160) all went 2-0 on the first day of district action to reach today’s semifinals. They have guaranteed themselves a top six finish. One more win will earn them a trip to the state tournament.

A loss would force them to win one more match in order to qualify to state.Graham is in first place with 97.5 points, Ross is sitting in second with 60 points, Sheridan is third with 44 points, Miami Trace is fourth with 41 points and Athens is tied with the Lakers for fifth with 36 points.
