In an up-and-down regular season, the lowest of lows for the Bellefontaine boys basketball team came in a loss to Urbana on Jan. 22.
The Chiefs struggled mightily on the offensive end, losing 35-24. They scored only 10 points in the second half, including two in the fourth quarter.
Bellefontaine (12-10) gets a chance to exact some revenge when the two teams meet again at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in a Division II sectional tournament opener at Springfield High School.
“We have to do a much better job handling the basketball than we did the first time we played them,” said Bellefontaine head coach Henry Stolly. “Turnovers really hurt us in that game, especially in the fourth quarter. We have to value the basketball.”
