The choice made by Bellefontaine and Benjamin Logan’s wrestling teams will return them to the belly of the beast this weekend at the Division II district wrestling tournament at Bowling Green State University.

Last season, the Division II Northwest District was the toughest of any division in the state of Ohio.

There was a super-draw process this year that allowed teams in Southwest Ohio to choose which sectional they wanted to compete in. The Chieftains and Raiders made the decision to travel north again and compete at Bowling Green, instead of wrestling south at Goshen.

“It was a pretty easy decision for us,” said Bellefontaine head coach Rick Reed. “Going to Bowling Green allowed us to get more guys through the sectional tournament and competing at the district level. Hopefully next year we have a more difficult decision to make.
