Triad girls shake off Panthers

Triad’s girls basketball team used a key third quarter to drop host Fairbanks 54-50 on Monday in a non-league contest.

The win improves the Cardinals to 15-5 overall and drops the Panthers to 9-11.

Triad led 21-19 at halftime and then outscored the Panthers 17-8 in the third period to open up a 38-27 lead.
