Three former standout athletes are set to enter the West Liberty-Salem Hall of Fame on Saturday, Feb. 9.

Clifton “Butch” Sower, Amy Wallace McDaniel and Bob Cramer make up this year’s induction class. They will be honored Friday, Feb. 8, prior to the Tigers’ home boys basketball game against Springfield Catholic Central. A reception will follow the game in the auxiliary gym.

The group will then officially enter the Hall of Fame the next evening during a banquet that begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Woodruff Events Center, located at 4815 Urbana Road in Springfield.
The guest speaker for the banquet is former Ohio State basketball player Bill Hosket. He was an all-Big 10 and All-American selection during his Buckeye career and was on the gold medal winning U.S. basketball team at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. Hosket also went on to play in the NBA. He was a member of the 1970 New York Knicks world championship squad.
