Bellefontaine’s girls basketball team suffered a 79-65 loss to host Kenton Ridge on Saturday in a Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail division game.
The Chiefs are now 10-6 overall and 4-3 in league action. The Cougars move to 13-4, 4-3.
Kenton Ridge led 22-17 after one quarter and pushed its lead to 11 points (39-29) at halftime.
The Cougars then held a 62-45 lead after three periods.
Sajah Carter had a big game for the Chiefs with 20 points. She hit four three-pointers on the night.
Also for Bellefontaine, Brenda Johnson had 13 points, Kameren Haley scored 11 points and Whitney Rader had 10 points.
Stefanie Davis led Kenton Ridge with a game-high 22 points.
In the junior varsity game, Kenton Ridge won 45-25. Deja Peterson scored eight points and Ashley Artis added six points for the Chiefs.
Bellefontaine is back in action Thursday at Riverside.
