Host Upper Scioto Valley sprinted to a 46-11 halftime lead and went on to take an 83-24 victory over Riverside in Northwest Central Conference girls basketball action Thursday.
USV is now 8-6 overall and 3-2 in the NWCC, while the Pirates drop to 3-13, 2-3.
The Rams set the tone early, jumping out to a 25-6 lead after one quarter. USV kept its foot on the gas pedal, outscoring the Pirates 58-18 over the final three periods.
Brooke Hickey led Riverside with eight points and Monica Hurley had four points.
In the junior varsity game, Riverside lost 37-26. Emily Teague scored 11 points and Abby Proffitt had eight for the Pirates.
Individual scoring for USV was not reported.
Riverside is back in action next Thursday at home against Bellefontaine.
