Bellefontaine’s boys basketball team has shown growth with consecutive wins over Stebbins and Marysville. The Chiefs will get a much bigger test Friday night.

Bellefontaine (7-5 overall, 2-3 in league play) will attempt to avenge an earlier loss this season to Springfield Shawnee when they hit the road to take on the Braves in a Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail division game.

Shawnee (10-1, 5-0) is currently riding a nine-game winning streak.

“They are playing the best basketball of anybody in our league right now,” said BHS head coach Henry Stolly of the Braves. “It is going to be a great challenge. They are playing with a lot of confidence, but so are we.”
