Riverside’s boys basketball team picked up its second straight win Friday with a 70-28 pasting of visiting Marion Catholic in Northwest Central Conference action.
The Pirates are now 2-7 overall and 1-2 in the NWCC. The Irish drop to 2-10, 0-4.
Riverside started strong as it bolted to a 36-17 halftime advantage.
The Pirates continued to pull away in the second half.
Riverside had five players reach double digits in scoring. Dalton Bollinger led the way with a game-high 21 points, Landon Kelsey and Tanner Lane each had 12 points, Jacob Herron had 11 points and Grant Miller added 10 points.
There was no junior varsity game.
Riverside is back in action today at home against Ansonia.
