Pirates jolt Marion Catholic 55-39

Riverside’s girls basketball team came out firing on all cylinders early against host Marion Catholic on Thursday and came away with a 55-39 win in Northwest Central Conference action.

The Pirates are now 3-11 overall and 2-2 in the NWCC this season.

Riverside took command early with a 22-1 run in the first quarter. Both teams battled to an 11-11 score in the second quarter, which left the Pirates on top with a 33-12 lead at halftime.
