When Benjamin Logan’s girls basketball team decides to take over a game, it does it in a hurry.

The Raiders led 31-24 at halftime and then used a dominating third quarter to quickly distance themselves from visiting Elgin.

Ben Logan cruised down the stretch for a 59-39 non-league victory on Monday. It was the Raiders’ sixth straight win.

“It was a huge third quarter,” said Ben Logan head coach Donnie Sosby. “We shot the ball well and that was definitely the difference maker in the game. We knew those first three minutes of the third quarter would be important and they were.”
