UPDATE: Winter weather puts freeze on local sports schedule

The local prep sports schedule took a big hit Friday because of the snow storm that hit the area.

Included in the postponements were the following boys basketball games: Tippecanoe at Bellefontaine, Greeneview at West Liberty-Salem, Urbana at Benjamin Logan, Triad at Northeastern and Waynesfield-Goshen at Riverside.

The Triad at Northeastern game has been rescheduled for tonight (Saturday), while the Urbana at Ben Logan game has been moved to Saturday, Jan. 19. New dates for the other contests have yet to be announced.

Also postponed Friday was the Bellefontaine at Urbana wrestling meet.
