JUNIOR HIGH: Ben Logan sweeps Indian Lake

 

Benjamin Logan’s junior high girls basketball teams both improved their records to 8-0 with wins over Indian Lake on Thursday.


In the seventh-grade game, the Raiders started the contest on a 24-0 run and cruised to a 42-6 victory.

 

Nikki Current scored 20 points to lead the Raiders. Mackenzie McManus had eight points and Madi Jones and Kinzie Jones each scored four points.


Ben Logan won the eighth-grade game 28-22. Hayley Boysel led the Raiders with 12 points. Darian Rockhold added nine points.

For the Lakers, Sam Miller had 13 points, five rebounds and three steals. Morgan Evilsizor added five points, six rebounds and four steals.

Indian Lake downs Raiders


Indian Lake defeated Benjamin Logan in a pair of junior high boys basketball games Thursday.

The score of the seventh-grade game was not reported. 

For Ben Logan, Jake Henman had eight points and Grant Ward added seven points.

Indian Lake defeated the Raiders 37-27 in the eighth-grade contest.

Alex Jacobs led the Lakers with 10 points. Nate Kaffenbarger scored eight points and Tyler Reprogle scored seven points.  

Pirates fall to Jets

Riverside’s junior high boys basketball teams dropped their games to Fairlawn on Thursday.

Fairlawn won over the Pirates 37-28 in the seventh-grade game. Jason Yoder and Trey Lane each had nine points and Caleb Stevens added eight points for Riverside.

In the eighth-grade game, Fairlawn rolled to a 52-22 win. Kurt Waters led the Pirates with nine points.
