'Examiner's' All-area boys soccer team

Players of the year — Connor Davis, Indian Lake, and Zach Gingerich, BHS

The Lakers’ Davis was the most prolific offensive player in the area this fall, while Gingerich was a defensive star in goal for the Chieftains. A freshman, Davis piled up 22 goals in his rookie season. He set the school record for goals in a single season and earned Miami Valley all-district first-team honors. A senior, Gingerich had a school-record 10 shutouts and also established a new Bellefontaine record with a 0.89 goals against average. He was named to the Miami Valley all-district team.
