As expected, the second annual Jimmy Mac Duals were a grind here Saturday at Bellefontaine High School.

When the day ended, the battled-tested Chieftains emerged with a sixth-place finish in a talented field of eight wrestling squads.
Miami Trace, a Division II southwest Ohio power, won the tournament with a 5-0 record and defeated Mechanicsburg 43-30 in the first-place dual.
Cincinnati Oak Hills edged Kenton Ridge 39-33 with a pin in the final match of its third-place dual, while Urbana defeated Bellefontaine 51-24 in the fifth-place dual. Hamilton Badin topped Northmont 48-36 for seventh place.
“The main thing we look for in our first week of the season is that we compete, and we did that,” said BHS head coach Rick Reed. “There are certainly some areas we would like to have competed a bit harder in, but our guys battled.
