Bellefontaine eighth-graders fall to Triad

Bellefontaine’s eighth-grade boys basketball team suffered a 45-41 overtime loss to Triad in the season opener for both teams Saturday.

Dawsin Tillman had 27 points to lead the Chiefs. Clay Wisner added six points and Jacob Miller had four points.

Indian Lake eighth-graders top Jackson Center

The Indian Lake eighth-grade boys basketball team beat Jackson Center 46-38 on Saturday. Alex Jacobs led the Lakers with 18 points. Nate Kaffenbarger had 10 points and Tyler Reprogle had nine points.

Also for the Lakers, Dalton Faler chipped in five points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Jackson Center upends Lakers

The Indian Lake eighth-grade girls basketball team lost to Jackson Center 38-29 on Saturday.

Sam Miller had a game-high 15 points and six steals for the Lakers. Olivia Amspaugh had six points and Morgan Evilsizor added four points.
