A 10-0 run through the regular season has helped the West Liberty-Salem football team land a home playoff game in the opening round of the postseason.
In the final release of the state computer ratings Sunday, the Tigers were ranked fourth in Division V, Region 20. The top four teams in each region get to host first-round games.
WL-Salem will host Dayton Christian (10-0) at 7 p.m. Saturday.
If the Tigers were to defeat Dayton Christian in the opening round, they would face the winner of the Coldwater vs. Miami East game.
The Tigers are not the only local team to get a playoff berth. Also in Region 20, Triad was ranked seventh in the final ratings. The Cardinals must go on the road to face second-seeded Cincinnati Summit County Day at 7 p.m. Saturday.
