Cardinals can lock up a spot with win over WL-Salem on Friday

One local team already has locked up a playoff berth and another squad is still in the thick of the playoff hunt as well going into the final Friday night of the prep football season.

Unbeaten West Liberty-Salem has mathematically clinched a playoff berth in Division V, Region 20.

The Tigers (9-0) are currently fifth in Region 20 in the state computer ratings. They trail Coldwater, Cincinnati Summit Country Day, Covington and Dayton Christian. Coldwater has clinched the top seed in the region.
