The Hillclimbers received a goal from Christy Finney with 8:42 remaining in the game to pull out a 2-1 victory over the host Chiefs in a Division II sectional semifinal.
Bellefontaine defeated Urbana 2-0 earlier in the season, but the Hillclimbers did a good job of containing the Chiefs in the rematch.
“We had fewer offensive opportunities tonight than we did the first time we played them,” said Bellefontaine head coach Matt Price. “Urbana did a good job defensively and you have to give them credit for that. There were a few calls we didn’t get, but you can’t leave yourself in a position to have to rely on getting calls.”
