Upper Scioto Valley downs Riverside for NWCC win

Upper Scioto Valley’s football team found its groove Friday and blitzed visiting Riverside 41-22 in a Northwest Central Conference matchup.

The Rams picked up their first win of the season and are 1-7 overall and 1-3 in the NWCC, while the Pirates drop to 0-7, 0-5.

USV led 6-0 after the opening quarter and threw two touchdown passes in the second quarter. That gave the Rams a 20-0 advantage.
