The biggest test of the season for Indian Lake’s football team waits for them Friday.
The Lakers go on the road to take on state-ranked Urbana in a key game that will go a long way in deciding the Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division champion.
The two teams each have 3-0 records in conference play.
Indian Lake (5-3 overall) has won four consecutive games to turn its season around.
“Coming into this season we felt that we could contend for a league championship,” said Indian Lake head coach Dave Coburn. “Urbana is the defending champion and are still the champs until proven otherwise.
“Making the turn as we began league play, we wanted to take it one game at a time and still be in the hunt for the title when we played Urbana. That is where we are at and we are very excited for that opportunity. We are trying to do everything we can to put ourselves in position to be league champions.”
