Ben Logan blanks Ft. Loramie

Benjamin Logan’s eighth-grade football team dropped Ft. Loramie 14-0 in a recent non-league contest.

Josh Whitten and Austin VanBuskirk each scored touchdowns for the Raiders.

Northridge downs Indian Lake seventh-graders

Indian Lake’s seventh-grade football team fell to Northridge 22-14 in a recent Central Buckeye Conference game.

The Lakers are now 3-4 on the season.

Kale Shoffner threw a touchdown pass to Connor Dixon, while Dixon added a rushing touchdown and a two-point conversion.

IL eighth-grade squad now 6-0

Indian Lake’s eighth-grade football team increased its record to 6-0 by defeating Northridge 38-6 on Tuesday.

Bellefontaine seventh-graders stay perfect

Bellefontaine’s seventh-grade football team improved its record to 7-0 with a 22-6 win over Urbana on Tuesday.

Mitchel Smith started the scoring for the Chiefs with a 2-yard touchdown run. The other two scores were both by Trae Stahler, who had runs of 40 and 50 yards. The defense was anchored once again by strong line play led by Delmar Fogan, Brock Finch, Braden Jacobs, Austin McIntosh, Phil Francis, Mitchel Smith and Caleb Schimttauer. Dezmyn Lyburtus also recorded an interception.


Calvary Christian drops Ben Logan Black

Calvary Christian’s junior high soccer team recently defeated Ben Logan black 3-0 in a recent matchup.

Scoring for the Spartans were Alan LaBelle, Andrew Reinhard and Parker Grothaus.

Providing assists were Noah LaBelle and Cole Kennedy.

Tyler Reinhard and Blake Wenger combined for the shutout at goal.

Bellefontaine rolls past Indian Lake II

The Bellefontaine junior high travel soccer team defeated Indian Lake II 12-1 on Monday.

Scoring for Bellefontaine were Katie Harmon with three goals and Lilli Levan and Mark Moreno with two each. Jacob Childs, Hannah Davis, Justin Clayton, Drew Jackson and Landon Earick added one goal apiece. 

Peyton Neeld had two assists and Landon Earick, Ben Brunswick, Katie Harmon, Ryelee Clary and Drew Jackson each had one assist. Drew Jackson recorded the first half shutout in goal with multiple outstanding saves. 


Calvary Christian suffers losses

Calvary Christian’s junior high volleyball team recently fell to St. Marys 25-11, 25-9 and to St. Mary’s Rosary 25-19, 25-20.

Sammi Green led the Spartan offense with 16 points and Baylee Durnell had nine points.
