The loss drops the Chieftains to 8-6 on the season.
“At times we have trouble figuring out our defensive marks,” said BHS girls head coach Matt Price. “Tonight, by the time we figured it out, it was too late.”
Lehman raced out to a 5-1 lead in the first half, with Rosie Hyden scoring for the Chiefs.
The Cavaliers added a sixth goal in the second half and Regan Price broke free down the home sideline to score for BHS.

Chiefs zap Cavaliers
Bellefontaine’s boys soccer team used a second-half goal to drop host Lehman Catholic 1-0 on Monday in a non-league contest.
The win improves the Chieftains to 9-2-3 on the season.
“This was an uninspired performance for our team,” said BHS boys head coach Steve Henry. “But when we can play flat, and still get a win, that is the mark of a tough team.”
After a scoreless opening half, Bellefontaine was able to find the back of the net 10 minutes into the second half. Aaron Wisner put BHS on the scoreboard with an assist from Nick Gingerich at the 30:31 mark.
“The goal was on a corner kick involving two of the youngest players on our team,” said Henry. “That was also encouraging.”
The Chieftain defense was able to hold off the Cavaliers for the rest of the second half to preserve the win.
Bellefontaine travels to Kenton Ridge on Wednesday for a Central Buckeye Conference matchup.
