Triad wears down M’burg

Triad’s football team shared the wealth Friday night as five different players scored touchdowns in a 47-7 rout of visiting Mechanicsburg in Ohio Heritage Conference action.

The Cardinals march to a 6-1 overall record and are 4-0 in the OHC. The Indians fall to 2-5, 1-3.

“Defensively, we struggled a little bit early,” said Triad head coach Payton Printz. “They drove the ball down on us and we had a goal-line stand. The first drive Colton (Young) took one to the house and it got called back.

“After the first quarter though, things really opened up for us. We dominated the game after that point. It really was touch-and-go before that. It was a great team effort by our guys.”
