WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
Kenton Ridge features the top running back in the Central Buckeye Conference in senior Max Winnenberg. He has already rushed for 1,170 yards and 14 TDs.
In a season that has seen both highs and lows, Bellefontaine will try to get back to a high point Friday against visiting Kenton Ridge.
The Chiefs (1-4 overall, 0-1 in the Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail division) have lost two straight after a win over Benjamin Logan, while the Cougars (4-2, 0-1) also have dropped back-to-back games after starting the season 4-0.
Bellefontaine will celebrate homecoming Friday and the Chiefs are hoping to treat the home crowd to their first conference win.
“You always want homecoming to be a memorable night,” said BHS head coach Chris Schmidt. “It is a fun week for the kids, with the parade (tonight) and then the dance on Saturday. Everything is more fun if you are able to win on Friday.”
