Not overlooking an opponent is something every coach stresses to their players during the football season.
That will be especially important for West Liberty-Salem this Friday when it hosts a highly improved Greeneview squad in Ohio Heritage Conference action.
The Tigers (6-0, 3-0) have been overwhelming their opponents so far this season. They are averaging 50 points per game, but could face a bit of a challenge Friday.
The Rams (4-2, 2-1) have had a major turnaround this season after going 2-8 last fall. They had been averaging nearly 30 points per game, but did snap a four-game winning streak after falling to Triad 34-7 a week ago.
“They are definitely an improved football team,” said WL-Salem head coach Toby Smith. “They are doing things the right way there. We will have to play disciplined football on our end and do what is necessary in order to be successful.”
