Kenton Ridge’s boys soccer team edged host West Liberty-Salem 1-0 on Saturday in a non-league matchup.

The Tigers slip to 2-7-2 on the season.

After a scoreless first half, a WL-Salem player accidentally hit the ball into the Tigers’ own net for the game’s only goal.

Defensively, Sam Warye had nine saves at goal for the Tigers.

Kenton Ridge won the junior varsity game 4-0.

WL-Salem travels to Graham on Tuesday for a non-league contest.

Delaware Christian tops Calvary Christian

Delaware Christian’s soccer team topped host Calvary Christian 9-2 on Saturday in a non-league matchup.

The Spartans fall to 5-3-1 on the season.

Nathan Spyker scored both goals for the Spartans.

Calvary Christian hosts Fairlawn on Monday.
