Parker earns NCAC volleyball honor

Former West Liberty-Salem volleyball standout Paige Parker was named the North Coast Athletic Conference player of the week Monday for her efforts last week at the College of Wooster.

A junior, Parker paced the Fighting Scots with 38 kills, 36 digs and two aces in 12 sets of action last week.

She recorded 11 kills in a 3-0 league victory over Allegheny and matched her career-best performance with 23 kills in a 3-2 win over Case Western.

Parker also helped Wooster take a set from defending national champion Wittenberg. She had 11 digs in the match.

The former Tiger is currently ranked second in the NCAC for kills per set with 3.47.
