GAME PREVIEW: Eliminating mistakes is top priority for Chiefs entering Carroll matchup

Turnovers have plagued Bellefontaine during first two weeks of the season

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Bellefontaine will look to make some big plays against a Carroll defense that gave up 63 points against Beavercreek last week.

With a young team, a few mistakes here and there are expected.

However, Bellefontaine has suffered from too many miscues in its first two games.

The Chiefs turned the ball over three times in a 49-13 loss to Wapakoneta in Week 1 and had four turnovers in last Friday’s 17-14 loss to Sidney. The Chiefs lost a pair of fumbles in the fourth quarter as the Yellow Jackets rallied for the win.

“Taking care of the football is something we certainly have to get better at,” said BHS head coach Chris Schmidt as his team prepares to travel to Dayton on Friday to take on the Carroll Patriots. “It is something we continue to stress and work on.”
