Ben Logan boys rough up Warriors on golf course

Benjamin Logan’s boys golf team dominated visiting Northwestern for a 156-190 win Wednesday in Central Buckeye Conference action.


The Raiders were fueled by match co-medalist Blaine Ricketts, who fired a 37. The Warriors’ Kyle Glaser also had a 37.

Also aiding in the win were Grant Ricketts with a 39, while Jordan Sosby and Cole Saylor were right behind with 40s.

Ben Logan travels to Graham today for another CBC matchup.

Cougars clip Chieftains

Defending state champion Kenton Ridge beat host Bellefontaine by six strokes (169-175) Wednesday in Central Buckeye Conference action boys golf action.

The Chieftains were led by Travis Fowler with a 41. Cody Lyons carded a 43, Cody Hullinger shot a 44, Nate Langenfeld recorded a 47, Landyn Butler finished with a 49 and Jarrett Beck added a 53.

Kenton Ridge’s Seth Fern was medalist with a 36.

In junior varsity action, Bellefontaine picked up its first win of the season with a score of 200. For the Chiefs, Devin Fowler carded a 44, Colton Dement had a 46, Derek Markley had a 54, Zach Reames shot a 56 and Ryan Penny had a 67.

Bellefontaine travels to Tecumseh today for another CBC contest.

Graham downs Lakers

Indian Lake’s boys golf team was defeated by Graham 171-185 on Wednesday at Lakeland Golf Course.

Graham’s Alex Jenkins was the medalist with a 41.

Caleb Meadows led the Lakers with a 43. Randall Henson had a 46, Jake Frost shot 48 and Quenten Staley also had a 48.


St. Henry edges Indian Lake

St. Henry’s girls golf team held on for a 193-204 win over visiting Indian Lake on Wednesday at Elks Golf Course.

The Lakers are now 22-9 overall this season.

The Redskins’ Taylor Koesters was match medalist with a low of 41.

Kylie Speicher led Indian Lake with a 45, Morgan Barnett carded a 46, Sean Pusey shot a 47, Meliesha Hengsteler had a 66, Ashley Wall recorded a 69 and Murphy Oberle finished with 70.

Indian Lake travels to Greenon today in CBC action.

M’burg tops Bellefontaine

Mechanicsburg’s girls golf team defeated visiting Bellefontaine 202-227 on Wednesday in a non-league meeting.

Chelsea McLaughin was match medalist with a 45 to highlight the Chieftains.

Also for BHS, Allie Skelly carded a 59, Sarah Hall had a 60, Kathleen Coakley shot a 63 and Riley Penhorwood finished with a 65.

Bellefontaine hosts Greenon on Wednesday in CBC action.
