Riverside’s volleyball team battled its way to a win over visiting Bradford in four sets 25-22, 25-22, 21-25, 25-15 on Monday in non-league action.

The Pirates are now 1-1.
“The team rebounded from Saturday’s loss and really worked as a team,” said RHS head coach Wendy Cromer. “They did a lot of nice things and know what they still need to improve upon. I’m proud of their effort and the teamwork they showed.”
Morgan Robison led RHS with 16 points, seven aces and four digs, Samantha Egbert had 14 points, 16 assists, five kills and four aces, Kerri Meade had seven kills, five points and four blocks, Brooke Hickey had 12 assists, six kills, one ace, six points and one block and Stephanie Newland had five kills, nine points, one assist, four aces and four digs.
Riverside hosts Lima Perry on Thursday in Northwest Central Conference action.
