Bellefontaine boys get shutout over WL-Salem

Bellefontaine’s boys soccer team blanked visiting West Liberty-Salem 4-0 on Saturday in a local non-league matchup.

The Chiefs are now 1-1 on the season and the Tigers slip to 0-2.

“I thought our guys passed the ball a lot better this game than the last,” said BHS head coach Steve Henry. “We seemed more confident and didn’t quite panic as much on the ball. I was happy with our shape defensively, too, and I think that it showed in the result.

“Coach (Tim) Wolfe always has his team prepared and they do a great job of shutting us down. They are young this year, but we weren’t going to take them lightly because of that. It’s always a tough game.”
