Ben Logan boys edge Chiefs in local golf match

Benjamin Logan’s boys golf team held off visiting Bellefontaine by seven strokes Monday to win 162-169 at Tree Links Golf Course in a Central Buckeye Conference win.

The Raiders’ Grant Ricketts and the Chieftains’ Cody Lyons were co-medalists with rounds of 38.

Also aiding Ben Logan were Blaine Ricketts with a 40, Jordan Sosby and Ed Kenoyer with 42s, Mason Cline with a 43 and Cole Saylor with a 44.

For Bellefontaine, Cody Hullinger had a 42, Travis Fowler carded a 44, Nathan Langenfeld shot a 45, Landyn Butler had a 49 and Jarrett Beck added a 53.

The Raiders won the junior varsity match 193-232. Logan Wenger paced Ben Logan with a 46 and Devin Fowler led BHS with a 45.
