Cougars outlast Indian Lake

Host Kenton Ridge broke a 6-6 tie with six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to defeat Indian Lake 12-6 in a Central Buckeye Conference baseball game Thursday.

The loss drops the Lakers to 11-7 overall and 5-6 in the CBC. The Cougars are now 13-4, 9-3.

Indian Lake led 3-2 after one inning and 6-3 after two innings.

However, the Cougars scored a run in the third and two in the fourth to tie the game at 6-6. The hosts then blew the game open with the six-run sixth inning.

Mike Morgan had two doubles and three RBI, Kendall Lewis had two hits and three RBI and Derek Welch added a double for the Lakers.
