Laker girls rout Ben Logan Jill Wildermuth fired a two-hitter and Julianne Minnich belted a home run over the center field fence to lead visiting Indian Lake to a 7-0 win over Benjamin Logan on Monday in a Central Buckeye Conference softball game. The win improves the Lakers to 11-2 overall and 6-1 in the CBC. The Raiders fall to 3-11, 0-7. I was pleased with the way we played against a good Ben Logan team, said Indian Lake head coach Scott Cramer. Wildermuth struck out eight and walked one. Jill had another nice outing, said Cramer. The girls also did a nice job defensively behind her. Minnich had a single and two RBI to go with her home run to spark the Lakers hitting efforts. Kerstin Harmon had a double and three RBI, Michelle Herren was 2-4 with a double, Chelsea Cramer was 2-4 with an RBI and Wildermuth was 2-3 with a double and RBI for the Lakers. The girls did a nice job of hitting the ball with runners on base,
said Cramer. They had seven or eight hits in that two-inning stretch and I dont think any of those hits came on pitches that were in the strike zone, said Ben Logan head coach Ron Smith. You cant really do anything about that. It was just one of those days. The two teams play today at Indian Lake. |
