Lakers derail Braves

Host Indian Lake used a strong start to knock off visiting Springfield Shawnee 63-52 on Saturday in a Central Buckeye Conference matchup.

The win improves the Lakers to 14-6 overall and 10-6 in the CBC.

The Braves fall to 10-12, 6-10. Indian Lake led 13-11 at the end of the first quarter and the Lakers held a 35-27 halftime advantage.

The Lakers continued to keep Shawnee at bay in the second half to get the victory.

Four players scored in double figures for the Lakers. Isaac Reichert led the way with 14 points, Jared Troyer and Stacy Jones each scored 13 points and Keith Money added 11 points. Troyer also had seven rebounds on the night.

Springfield Shawnee won the reserve game 35-31.
