Laker girls post win

Indian Lake’s girls bowling team held on to beat visiting Springfield Shawnee 2,065-1,917 on Wednesday in the final regular-season matchup.

There was also a tight battle in the boys match with the Braves slipping past the Lakers 2,187-2,086.

The win makes the Laker girls 13-5 to end the season, while the boys end at 7-11.

Ashley Schultz led Indian Lake’s girls with a 402 series (202, 200).

The Laker boys were led by Dillan Shultz, who rolled a 357 series and Cody Snyder with a 329 series. Zac Seagle added a 321 series for Indian Lake.

Both the Indian Lake boys and girls reserve squads fell to the Braves. Springfield Shawnee’s boys rallied for a 2,052-2,008 win and the Shawnee girls won 1,714- 1,599.

Kyle Gillen rolled a high game of 161 to lead the Laker boys. Ashley Brown recorded a high series of 318 for the Laker girls.

The Lakers travel to Northridge Lanes in Springfield today for the Central Buckeye Conference tournament.
