OPWC monies to help Huntsville pave

The village of Huntsville’s street committee reported during Tuesday’s regular meeting of the Huntsville Village Council completion of the paperwork needed to receive an $18,293.45 Ohio Public Works Commission grant toward paving Fruit Street in 2010.

The village recently used previously awarded OPWC monies to resurface Wilmont Terrace.

Council member Beverly Palmer submitted her resignation, effective Sept. 1, as she is moving out of state. Anyone interested in filling the remaining two-year, four-months left of the term should attend the next council meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8.
