Election board rejects one petition
By THE BELLEFONTAINE EXAMINER STAFF

During a recent meeting of the Logan County Board of Elections, the board rejected the campaign petition of Mary Johnston for a seat on the Lakeview Village Council, because a petition signer also signed for her husband.

The act invalidated Ms. Johnston’s entire petition.

The board met Monday and certified all remaining candidates and approved a change of polling locations for three precincts previously housed in the Russells Point municipal building.

Stokes Southeast voters will cast their ballots at the Indian Joint Fire District building, and Washington North and Russells Point voters move to the Indian Lake Community Church Fellowship Hall for the November general election.

In other matters, the board approved semi-annual campaign reports, a new polling place agreement for all precincts, a bid of $375 for anti-virus software from NetGain, and an agreement with the Logan County District Library and Educational Service Center to use their learning labs for online pollworker training.

The next meeting is at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14.
