Juveniles charged

A 13-year-old boy was taken into custody on a delinquency disorderly conduct charge after deputies and officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department responded to a complaint at 741 Township Road 179 at about 4 p.m. Wednesday.
The boy, whose guardians had reported he was planning to walk on railroad tracks to the Lakeview area, fled on foot when a police officer spotted him. The officer chased and eventually caught the boy.

• Kimberly Major, 15, of 5335 County Road 39, Huntsville, was arrested on a delinquency disorderly conduct charge after her parents reported at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday that the girl refused to get ready for school and threatened to hit a sibling with a potted plant.

Thefts, damages reported

About $735 in jewelry, coins and a police scanner were reported stolen Wednesday evening from the 9656 Orchard Island, Lakeview, home of Gloria Young. Entry was made by prying open a back door.

• Leilah Livermore, 45, of 208 Torrence St., Belle Center, reported Wednesday someone damaged a fence, shed door and storm window on her property within the past week.

Dog complaint reported

A pit bull owned by a Lakeview woman was confiscated after it killed another dog late last week, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.

Mary Reames, 270 N. Oak St., Lakeview, reported her 10-year-old daughter was walking two dogs between 7 and 8 p.m. Friday when a pit bull came out of Betty Hatfield’s 156 N. Oak St. home and killed one of the dogs.

The pit bull was taken to the Humane Society Serving Logan County.

Man charged with domestic violence

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office issued a summons for domestic violence to James D. Bradford, 24, of Kalida, on Monday in connection with a Sunday morning incident in Russells Point. They began investigating the incident after employees of Mary Rutan Hospital called Sunday to report that Ashley Manford, 28, of 148 Wilgus St., Russells Point, was being treated for an injury related to a domestic violence incident.

She told deputies she injured her leg in a 2 a.m. fight with Mr. Bradford at her home. Mr. Bradford, who left the home after the fight, was issued the summons after speaking with deputies.
