Domestic violence charges filed A teen who allegedly seriously beat his live-in girlfriend was charged with felonious assault and domestic violence after personnel at Mary Rutan Hospital reported to deputies of the Logan County Sheriffs Office that the woman came in with injuries that they believed would require treatment at a Columbus hospital. Zachariah A. Bates, 19, was arrested at his 3835 Harrison Road home after hospital personnel reported that he and the victim, Sarah D. Pickering, 19, left the hospital and returned to their residence around 2:45 p.m. Thursday. An intoxicated 40-year-old man who made repeated 911 calls and cursed at dispatchers was arrested on a host of charges after deputies responded to his 10913 State Route 366, Lakeview, on a 4:15 p.m. Thursday report that his pickup truck was stolen. When deputies arrived they learned Scott H. Moore had allegedly assaulted his 12-year-old handicapped son. He reportedly continued his abusive behavior toward the boy and deputies. Mr. Moore was taken to the Logan County Jail on telecommunications harassment, domestic violence, endangering children and menacing charges. Juveniles charged with vandalism Delinquency vandalism charges were filed against Brandon L. Berry, 16, of 13097 County Road 59, DeGraff, and Ronnie Shoffner, 17, of 465 N. Main St., Lakeview, after deputies investigated a Thursday afternoon incident on an Indian Lake school bus. The boys, who were caught on camera, allegedly threw a laptop computer onto the ground and stepped on it. Juveniles charged Two 14-year-old boys are facing delinquency criminal damaging charges for allegedly breaking out a Russells Point womans garage windows with rocks, deputies of the Logan County Sheriffs Office report. Timothy L. Slavin of 422 Buckeye St., Russells Point, and Seth A. Anderson of 417 High St., Russells Point, were charged Tuesday after deputies took a report from Tammi L. Vasquez, in which she said the boys threw rocks through garage windows at her 442 Fairview Ave. residence Friday. Amy Harlow, 16, of 283 Stephenson St., Lakeview, was charged with delinquency disorderly conduct at about 12:45 a.m. Wednesday after deputies located her at the Lakeview Laundromat. The girls parents had reported her as a runaway Tuesday. Woman cited after crash A citation for failure to control was issued to Heidi A. Taylor, 47, of Huntsville, after a moderate damage crash at about 6:15 a.m. Wednesday. Ms. Taylor was westbound on U.S. Route 33 attempting to turn left onto State Route 274 when she went off the road into a ditch, deputies report. |
